Fifty Shades of Grey is an erotic romance novel by British author E. L. James which started as a Twilight fan fiction. It is the first book in the Fifty Shades trilogy that highlights the blossoming yet disturbing relationship between, Anastasia Steele (a college graduate seeking for a job), and a young, rich businessman, Christian Grey.
Fifty Shades of Grey was being made into a movie following its unprecendented success among book readers (70 million copies sold!) and despite the negative criticism it got from purists. The new movie will star Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, and Dakota Johnson as Anastasis Steele.
